Our Neighborhood

The Neighborhood Association Quartierverein Guthirt was founded in 1973 by Eugen Fischer, Anton Orler and Oskar Corleoni. The association is politically and denominationally neutral and currently has around 360 members.

From Metalli Shopping Center to the tennis courts, from the railway line to the cycle path: our neighborhood covers the areas of Göbli/Oberallmend, Ober-Lauried and Unter-Lauried/Metalli in the north-east of the city of Zug. It is bordered to the west by the SBB Zurich–Gotthard rail line, to the north by the municipality of Baar, to the east by the Baar–Zug cycle path, and to the south by Gotthardstrasse.

We represent the public interests of the neighborhood, support community and cultural events, and promote a spirit of community and bring neighbors together. Our central concern is keeping the local community informed about current developments and nurturing a strong neighborhood spirit.
